For treating seborrheic dermatitis on the eyelids, the following medications have been successful:

- Topical Calcineurin Inhibitors:
- Tacrolimus ointment (Protopic)
- Pimecrolimus cream (Elidel)
- These are applied to the eyelid twice daily and do not pose a risk of thinning the skin.

For treating seborrheic dermatitis on the eyelids, the following medications have been successful:

- Topical Corticosteroids (used for a short amount of time due to the risk of skin thinning):
- Fluocinolone solution (Synalar)
- Desonide (Desonate, Desowen)
- Betamethasone valerate (Luxiq)
- Hydrocortisone 2.5 percent

- Phosphodiesterase 4 Inhibitors:
- Roflumilast (Zoryve) foam, FDA approved in December 2023, used as a once-daily topical treatment.
