Members shared a wide range of skincare products they've found effective for seborrheic dermatitis, with CeraVe and Aveeno being the most frequently recommended brands due to their fragrance-free formulations and gentle ingredients like oatmeal and ceramides. Several members highlighted specific treatments including Nizoral shampoo for scalp relief, tar-based shampoos, prescription sulfur washes, natural remedies like colloidal silver oatmeal cream and Manuka honey, and moisturizers such as Blossom Essentials Honey Salve and coconut oil masks. A recurring theme was the importance of trial and error to find what works for individual skin, avoiding triggers like fragrances and hot water, maintaining a healthy diet, and staying consistent with gentle hygiene routines while recognizing that what works can vary from day to day.

Colloidal silver oatmeal cream and bath, colloidal silver in water form to use exterior not internal, iodine, zinc ointment, cold bags, antihistamine, cortisone cream and a natural unscented soap, the scalp I use anything with apple cider vinegar or the usual t gel etc. Don't use hot water and use moisturizer after shower. Stop eating bad sugars, fats and grease and eat healthy. Try some natural things ginger, fish oil, avoid over watching yourself, dress appropriately for the season, clean bed sheets more often, use natural dye free laundry detergent. Know what you're allergic too. 💪🏽

I found a product called Face & Scalp Elixir that has proven to be fantastic. The site is called Epicderma and have really good prices for the standards on skincare. I've been using it for a while and my symptoms disappeared after 1 week. Its texture is like a lightweight serum so I use even in the ears. I hope you find this helpful 🙂 💚

I use the Amazon shampoo for dandruff and it has really helped the one spot of dermatitis on my scalp and that worked really well for me and it's inexpensive, which is a bonus. I am still bothered with seborrheic dermatitis in my ears.
