Yes I've been navigating through this maze for years on my own no help, but my GP sent me to an honest compassionate super dermatologist who had me use two creams start with K one 2% one 2.5% they handled the face ears and neck, then after I went back to my recheck with my Dr I told him about the scalp. His nurse wrote the name down for me. Dr gave shampoo ,& instructions & my hairdresser when I told her she recognized it and recommended the coconut milk shampoo. Now I'm in maintenance mode, BUT...that is a weekly ritual. If I miss a week it flares. If I get stressed it flares, and winter it flares. I'm going to be on top of this until heaven.

Oh that sounds reasonable. Dr. Bronners has a coconut base to it. I do notice this is hard to figure out in that it seems like I have really dry skin and if I apply castor oil it helps remove extra skin buildup on the scalp but then there are areas where it seems too moist. I think that is where the Mallazthesia yeast is overgrown. Now that I have reduced the layers by using these medicated shampoos every day for a few weeks I see blister-like areas that I want to remove. It is weird how a hairdresser can give you good advice for scalp issues but a doctor is not so well informed. I have been to a dermatologist for this and for alopecia related to this condition and she just says its nothing. It is not nothing though. Because it is not a lethal disease perhaps? Not sure but seeing a dermatologist costs about 400 dollars per 15 minutes and I wish they would take my issues seriously. So you must have the condition under control to the point where your just in prevention mode?
